I got this for free with the t5 I bought. Two years ago that is. I think it's for late model 5.0's but not sure. Does anyone have one and could I use it on my 289?

Never messed with my own dist except for replacing the points/condenser and setting the gap with a feeler guage. Thats as far as my dist. knowledge goes. All I want to know is can I use this on my carbed 289? If so, how do I go about it?

Thanks

MSD site says its for a 289/302 and must be used with the MSD 6, 7, 8 or 10 ignition box.

There is also a link for a pdf file for installation instructions.
