I was reviewing some of the posts concerning MSD products. While there seems to be some debate regarding the benefit to performance, no one mentioned how difficult these products are to install.
I reviewed the instructions for the coil and they don't seem that complex, however, the directions for the distributor seem a little more complicated. I found some information on one site that stated the "ready to run" distributors are fairly easy to install but in comparison to what???? Opinions? Thoughts?
Also, how much HP can I expect. My 289 V8 is mostly stock. Check my sig for details.
I spoke with a mechanic earlier today and he told me that he could install both for about $300.

And once you get the dizzy in right, the rest is luicrously easy! 3 wires on the dizzy, 2 on the coil, and a coil wire...doesn't get much easier than that! If you want to talk about complicated...try pulling a Nissan VG30E without labeling anything or taking pics, and keeping all that sh!1 straight!
Ok...
