I have had an MSD Ignition lying around the house for about a year or so, it actually came out of my 82 silverado, I'm not sure if it was a 6a or a 6al, but any ways is there any way to test it to see if it still works? If so I may install it in my 91GT since I have the dizzy and coil already.
Thanks for any help, and if it does work will it be hard to wire it in?

FWIW, the stock ignition is good for near 400 NA HP. Sometimes we can kick ourselves for installing something that doesnt really help but can break and leave us doing diagnostics on the side of the road.

I'd just bench test it (hook it up as it's supposed to be - dont cut wires or anything - just rig it together enough to see if it allows the engine to run in your garage. If not, no need to go on or cut wires/buy an adapter harness.

Good luck.
