i often wonder why peeps don't go with the digital 6 box from msd. It has 2 rev limitors and a timing retard. why not buy a ignition system that allows you to grow.

If you have no plans for some kind of power adder, then get the 6AL. You can add other accessories so the box will grow with your car.

I am confused by what you mean. I have a power adder and added the 6AL after the SC..

I didn't mean that the 6AL will not work for a power adder car, but there are better boxes than a 6AL for a power adder car.

Are you referencing the ability to retard timing for boost and what not?

im sure he is. I love the digital 6 box i have because it take timing out of my car when the nitrous is on. Which is sweet. I can also take more or less out easily at the track with a turn of a dial. no need for a timing light when i am doing it.

Makes sense. I guess it would be really nice, but I rely on my tuner for timing.. I dont want to have to think about it, but I am definately not as hard core as some. Maybe someday I will upgrade to that, but for now I can def say any MSD is going to have a ton of benefits over the stock ignition!
