Mufflers…..Highest flow, least noise?

i have the magnaflow cat with the slp catted x. this combo sounds great to me. it is a much different sound for a mustang. just sounds like a high performance sound. it is also very quiet, which is why i bought it. before i had 40 series and a o/r bassani x pipe. i like this much better. no worry about the cops even when i step on it.

my buddy has the bassani catback and its louder then mine even with the x pipe(catted). as far as air flow capacity i dont know, i just always heard that magnaflow performed well on hp tests.

Steeda carries a stainless steel sleeper muffler.

Alot of people are suggesting Borla mufflers. I just bought a Borla stinger cat back because I was told it would be loud. The Borla's your recomending arent the Stinger, right? I havent installed them yet so I dont know if they are loud or not.

I have a Magnaflow C/B set up. It is fairly quiet.

About 10% louder than stock.

This is on a 2004 4.6 GT

Go with Borla Pro XS.

By the way Steedas mufflers are Borlas.

i've got Borlas on my saleen from the factory, they sounded great when i bought the car but were too quiet. i thought it was the mufflers and found out it was the cats...put a off road bassani on there and holy cow! my car sounds like a pissed off beast. the borlas will be loud if you put on high flow cats or no cats at all.

back to the original question. my brother had stainless magnaflows on his rousch and even with an OFF ROAD pipe they were too damn quite. he put spin techs on there and they sound great at WOT but are quite the rest of the time. point is that the magnaflows are quiet man, IMO, if you want the performance and the low key tone, than go with magnaflow. spin tech will make a custom system for you too...they have great customer service through the owner.
