Ok so here I am on the classic muffler post...I want louder...Right now I'm running Hooker Super Comp Shorties, BBK Off-Road H-Pipe, and Dynomax Super Turbo Mufflers with no cats. I'm only looking to replace the mufflers right now, and I do not want dumps or open headers. Any suggestions on mufflers? I've been wondering about those new Flowmaster Super 44's...

Do you have any soundclips of your exhaust or other violators? It sounds like you really like them, and I'd like to hear them.

Videos of some exhaust audio are on Myspace. The sound quality is poo, though. I need to use a fancy external mic when I do exhaust videos, or something...

I really need to get an updated recording of how it sounds with the off-road X-pipe instead of the UPR X-pipe. It was mostly a volume increase, but it's a lot more raspy and poppy on the top end, and it's got that evil burble/glub-glub-pop thing going on when you go WOT and then let off to coast to a stop.

EDIT: Hey, Frankie! How's about we do a bit o' video stuff this weekend?

Spintech Pro Streets FTW!

little tricky to angle underneath the car for the tails to come out straight but any competent muffler shop can do it

its like flowmasters on steriods

We had a 86 GT vert in the shop today. all stock with cats and everything but he had chery bomb turbos.....he wanted to take them off and for us to make a piece of pipe to replace the mufflers and so we did....I loved the way it sounded without mufflers (alot quiter that I expected). at idle it sounded like my flow's. then I cracked the throttle and wow it sounded good. got it out on the road and it sounded HORNEY...probly not loud enough to get pulled over for but I am going to do this to my car for sure now.

. I dont know its the Pypes SS catback It sounded kinda wierd, REALLY quiet around town but pretty loud in the upper RPM range. I wanted it to scream all the time so i just threw the flows that i had just taken out (they were dumps) and welded them into the catback.

ill advised

SLPs are very loud from the cars I've heard, then again I consider Flows with LTs and an O/R Hpipe loud (dumped)...

Magnaflows are rather quiet at idle, but scream when you get on it, that's why I purchased those yesterday.

You CAN'T go wrong with the Spintechs, great sound, great flow, and LOUD.
