Above all, what engine only modifications, topping a cost only $500, would create the most performance out of a Stock 5.0 efi engine (1988).

I've come to the conclusion I'll be giving my GT a 5 year anniversary present, but instead of being "wood", I'd like to give it Hp.

Answers w/ specs and experience most appreciated.

Decent set of shorty headers are reasonably priced and can help you add a few horses.

Have Tom Moss port the lower intake, install a set of 1.7 roller rockers and a set of underdrive pullies.

agreed , I would say skip the springs and go with GT40P shorty headers
