I was going to my club meet today,and as I took off from the stoplight,POW!
engine stopped,smoke from under the hood,that sinking feeling in my wallet....
I managed to restart,pulled over,popped the hood,found a vacuum plug had shot off the vacuum tree.plugged it,now the engine runs lousy and I got no power brake!made it to the club meet,and took off the vacuum hoes for the brake booster and plugged it with a quarter in. drive extention.(anything in a pinch!) engine running okay now,but no power brakes.Guess the backfire from the carb took out the brake booster bellows.OUCH!
