At least you're making progress, and you have a shop to work in, mine is on jackstands in a gravel driveway (covered now, with winter coming) and I haven't been able to drive it in 5 years.

Mine went from the drag strip to the bodyshop and is now stipped down for repaint. I am stacking parts up to the ceiling in the middle of the garage awaiting its return. I am so bored without my car I am reduced to fixing the leaks in the floor jack.

Hmmmm......I've had my 'stang since 1984.......finally got it on the road in 1995, that's 11 years.
She was my daily driver for 5 years, took her off the road (due to illness, then to restore, again!) in early 2000.....it's been 5 years (give or take a couple of months........) since I last drove her...................

Now let's do the math....:
11 years + 5 years = 16 years!
2005* - 1984 = 21 years - 5 years DD = 16 years!

* ya, I know it's not 2005 yet, but we're close enough, and I KNOW I won't get my 'stang on the road in the next year, too much work, not enough time or $$$!

I've had mine since the fall of 1987. It was a running, driving 'stang with a damaged grille, hood, and front right fender. No damage to core support or inner fender. I bought a front clip minus the left front fender for it. I've probably put 2000 miles on the car driving it on and off, never a daily driver and no where near a years worth of road time. I've had it a little over 17 years, but it's easily been 12 since it's driven under it's own power. But, all but 1 of those years has been spent inside a garage, if I ain't savin' it for myself, I'm savin' it for someone else....

I feel your pain. I got mine back two weeks ago from the body shop and I still have work to do. I had to turn off the money to the shop. So I will be learning all the nuances of body filler, wet sanding, primer, wetherstripping, door re-assembly, etc.

Make yourself little goals that are quickly achievable (I will finish this 1/4 panel this weekend). That way you feel good about accomplishing something and you keep moving towards the ultimate goal.

Keep the faith and spend those bucks wisely! (Do not read the magazines as the guys here can help and save you a TON of money, plus your ride will be safer without parts made in China or someones garage).
