Bad experience with Mustang Depot

So I ordered a set of front and rear prebent brake lines from MD on Aug 22. They hadnt came for 2 weeks, so I emailed them. No response. I call them and they say that I should have recieved an email about them not being in stock!!! That is bull****! I have been waiting two weeks for these damn brake lines so I can drive my car. I am not a happy customer. Thought I'd share my frustration.

MDJay is the owner and a member of the forum. You probably should PM him before getting too p'd off here on a public board.

I'm sorry but I didn't even get a phone call after I placed the order. I mean come on, is it that hard to press a few numbers, and not rely on email. I know MDjay is a good guy and probably very busy but someone else should have tried a little harder.

Well, first I would like to say we are here to help any of you with any problem. We also are very diligent about notifying our customers about outstock situations.

I do not appreciate the slam on a public board without giving us an opportunity to help you.

The only thing we show that backordered from your order are some wiper blades.

You did not order any brake lines or hoses of any kind from us!!!

I guess it has been what now, 2-3 months since another Mustang parts vendor got irresponsibly trashed on these boards?

I'm not going to address that or this incident specifically but...NEVER post here with libelous statements until you have exhausted every other means of fixing the situation and been told to F-off by the company in question. If that happens then feel free to trash away, but there always seems to be alogical explanation to these things, and rational adults should be able to make them go away without resorting to sch antics.

I'm sorry mdjay. I overreacted. I forgot you were the mustang depot guy on here and should have contacted you first. I am just really frustrated because I have been waiting on only those brakes to be able to drive my car (and I REALLY want to drive my car). I called today and they checked and the lady said they emailed me about them not being in stock, but I never recieved such an email. I think they should have called me and talked to me in person. I even recieved an Order confirmation email on my purchase too. I am really sorry for bashing you on the public board and will not do so to anyone again. If it's possible the moderators can remove this thread.

These boards are not heavilly patroled by moderators. If you cannot change the title yourself maybe report the thread to a mod yourself?

I would not delete it, this is a lesson well learned and if others can learn from the mistake/miscommunication then another incident can be avoided. The title should DEFINITELY be edited or removed though, some folk might just read it and not open the thread.

Don't worry, it won't be your last episode of miscomunications when ordering via web or phone. I still do business with a certain Mustang parts dealer, but did have an order promised in time for Xmas of 2004 for a gift. I order three months before Xmas and the order wasn't shipped. They never notified me, I had to call several times per week. Upon learning that I wouldn't get the item in time for Xmas, the refund to my credit card was another horror story. Several more weeks of calling and promises that weren't kept until I finally stayed on hold until I got a confirmation number to the refund. Luckily I had a plan B in place or there would've been a bad Xmas for a close relative.

It's pretty painfull to lQQk at but I'll see what I can find. The last pics in August Mustang Monthly were after the fact. We got it back together in about a month.

I definately post the pics on a new topic though

I completely agree with the original poster! I think jay sucks too! Now I MIGHT have a change of heart if he'd give me sinister ........and a BIG gift certificate

Sorry I’m just trying to make light of the situation. I can say from experience...................you’re an isolated incident and as you said yourself, you overreacted a bit. I just hope jays class rubs off on you there 19stang66.
