Looking for ways to mount my alternator on the drivers side and keep my power steering.... I know people have done it... prepping for future Vortech install.... want to clean things up....
Put the Vortech on the driver's side. That's how ProCharger has done it for 25 years. Battery box goes to passenger side, mounting holes for tray are already there for the 4 cyl cars. You trim about 1/4 inch from one side of the tray. Now plenty of room for an intercooler which all forced induction should have.
I took a spare alternator to my buddy's fab shop.... he did my 4 link and air ride on my 51 f-1. He is going to make me the bracket I need... I will report back...
