not to many foxes by me, so people kinda react to a fox liek people usto react to a 05 when they first came out.. its kinda kool having a car that is rare... and as for respect i respect all stangs as long as they arent ghetto and what not.. im not afraid to loze a race to one either.. why cauz in teh end a mustang beat me,and that i can live with.

I only know of one other fox in my town and its my old one....sold it to my mechanic and he races it so it sits in his garage. There are a lot of newer stangs but there all driven by old lady's or older guys. I'm pretty much surrounded by rice where I live haha...everyone just puts new mufflers on their civics and such...No love for the muscle

I get more wave's and honk's in my 93 and I get a lot of people acting dumb around me in my 03 cobra. I just like sporting the 93 way better!

Fun fun story for the hour.

Around the same time I got my 05 WRX a younger kid down the street got an 05 mustang (v6). He would peel out in front of my house, and literally try to run me down and follow me anywhere I would go when he saw me driving in the rex.
Just recently got my 87 gt ttops and was driving around town. I see the same v6 kid is pulling up next to me at a stop light and gives me a thumbs up. I open my window, and see the shocked look on his face.

Fun story.. lol
-----------------------------
Off topic: I feel the subaru community in my area(central jersey) is alot friendlier than the mustang community. I always get GT's or even mexican modded v6's trying to race me when im in the 87.

When i'm driving my '03 GT around and pass a Fox, they usually rev at me or spin tires or something.

When i'm in my Fox and pass a 99+ GT, they don't even notice me and ignore me.

And all 05+ owners ignore me in either car

My town is the same way, 99% of the 05+ mustang owners never acknowledge me or any other car on the road, even if i give the first wave

hell I NEVER see any other fox mustangs around here in south central PA. The only other mustang I see with any regularity is a chick driving a hot pink 94-95 GT.

Never seen another 5.0 Fox around here but all the 94-98 owners wave or smile, except this one duche with a 98 V-6 with this ginormus wide kit on his car and the stock 15" 3 spoke wheels his wheels are tucked in about 6" each side Oddly enough the New Edge owners are rude (only 2 V-8's) and the 05+ guys always flash me My fox got way more attention than my Cobra, prolly cus there are no Foxes and way too many red V-6 Aeros that look really damn close

Evansville, about 3 hrs south of Indy. Quiet the haul from where you are.. You know of any mustang shows around this area?? I sold my 93 lx hatch about 2 yrs ago and I miss it like crazy!!! Me and a buddy are finishing up a turbo build in his 89 gt so I'm sure once that thing is done I will have another one sittin in my driveway!

Evansville need not be referenced with respect to other locales. It simply is known as the hometown of Mr Mattingly.

Indy should be referenced as being 3 hours from Don's house.

I never realized how few and far in between the 5.0's have become. Seems crazy that it's even possible. Back 15 years ago there were a bunch of us around and we all had a blast going faster and faster. Now the only ones I see are on crack or full out race cars.

It didn't dawn on me until I picked up this other 5.0 last month.

As far as driving around... I pretty much ignore everyone unless I'm at the lights stopped. How much of idiot would you look like bustin your car up cuz you're too busy waving at people or something and not paying attention to the road. Same thing on the bike... I don't wave cuz I'm too busy making sure nobody kills me.

The only thing that bugs me... just a little cuz I'm older now.... is when I got the 67' out and these new 05+ people come up next to me and say "Hey.. I got one of those too!!"

Uh... no buddy.... you really don't... is what I'm thinking.

All in all... we should all be thankful Ford put out a decent car we can afford.

I'd love a new Vette.... and you'd be lying if you said you didn't.... but it's way more than I can afford. Shoot... I could sell my 67 for 25k and that's not even half a new Vette!!
