Ok, so i noticed that my 96 mustang gt was leaking coolant, so today i got the hose and put water in the radiator and got under the car. I noticed behind the flywheel was rusty and it looked like it was leaking from there ( behind the bottom flywheel ) maybe it could be a seal or something.....any idea what it could be? thanks a lot guys.

It could be your intake manifold leaking coolant and running down the back of your engine and transmission. If it just started leaking recently, you could try to retorque your intake manifold. Also, check your heater hoses where they connect to the heater core on the fire wall. Mine started leaking once and had to replace the factory clamps with some screw type hose clamps. Check all this out and let us know what you find out.

You should see remnants of coolant around the front of the intake manifold if that is where the leak is. Also check the water pump to see if it has begun leaking form the weep hole. It is at the bottom of the water pump and will be wet of have coolant "rust" built up around it. If it is leaking then replace the water pump.
