Yes it's BS. These are all over eBay -- just resistors to plug into your coolant temp sensor and make the computer think it's running cooler than it is.

classic case of snake oil. its nothing more then a resistor that tricks the ecu into thinking it is cold outside which richens the air/fuel ratio and advances the timing. if its really hot out, the ecu thinks it is cold and you can have pinging. save your money

heh, my friends put that into their ecu. some former honda tech did it for them. all it is is a resistor to trick the computer to make it thinks its colder so it adds more fuel. They say they can feel the difference, yet all they are doing is getting worse mpg. stupid ricers :-/

Yeah - But I remember 'back in the day' before any performance parts came out, we use to take the ACT out and let it sit in the air and do the same for the collant temp sensor. It really did no good (may even hurt performance), but years ago, you had to try what was un-proven at that time. I remember a test article was done on a dyno years ago that did the same thing, and NO difference in HP was noticed. The processor doesn't use those sensors to adjust air/fuel ratio as much as people think. Maybe some, but not enough to make any performance difference (at least in my book).
