Mustang Replacement Upper Grille

ordering a grille from americanmuscle.com that will delete the fog lights on my gt. any advise on the install.....is it as simple a it sounds....what did everyone do with the wiring harness from the fog lights?

I haven't done it, but I think I'd just zip tie them up and away from anything hot/moving. If he doesn't reply to this thread anyway try Pm'ing Kooldawg.

Removal is easy once you get a few of the tabs out. Take care with the bottom of the grill as it is right up against the painted bumper and can scratch it as you remove it. I used electrical tape to cover up the harness ends good and wire tied them to the harness bundle. I can take a pic later today and post it here

Did you have to remove the front bumper to replace the grill..?? Kool do you have a write up on when you installed your bullet grill..?? Thanks man !

You cut the tabs on the radiator cover. Unbolt the bolts holding the top of the bumper in place. Pull the bumper forward and carefully pry out all of the tabs. The ones on the bottow are a little hard to see. Then the new grille just pops in place, and repeat the steps in reverse installing new clips in the radiator cover (6 total)

You dont ahve to cut them, they can be pryed up with a small flathead screwdriver. Just pull up the center part then it will sort of unhook the outer part and then it will all pull out. No need to buy new ones.

Or if you have $2 in your wallet you can clip the old ones off, push the rest through, and install new unmolested ones. It's a personal preference I guess. I never had much luck prying them out.

I didn't do a write up or even think about one before/during my grill swap
I also didn't have to mess with the bumper in any means to remove the OEM grill. I forgot that I used thin wire to also hold them together.

Note:It isn't that easy to see what is behind the grill, but the camera flash makes it appear that way.

Body panel removal tool for the win! If you use them right you don't have to make the time to go to the stealership and buy a new set of clips. I don't know how many times I have used mine. I gottem from MAC probably 2 years ago. They pay themselves off in time saved for sure.
