Hey gents (and ladies?),

I'm going to get some hooker headers from jet-hot and I'm trying to decide between comps and super comps. The comps are a lot cheaper but I know that the super comps will fit my mustang steve clutch cable conversion with my T5. Does anyone know if the comps will fit also? Are the tubes routed any different (my understanding is that the major differences is the thickness of the steel but I don't know that for certain.)

You should be able to route the cable around just about anything. Be careful to not let the cable lay up on the tube.

I have the hooker comps in my 65 and the Mustang Steve system will not work. There is absolutely no was to attach the cable I understand the supercomps will work and headman as well. Anyone want to trade?

I was just wondering, I heard the Mustang Steve cable setup also will not work with tri-y headers. Anyone got any scoop on this? I really can't see how, I mean my tr-y's don't take up a whole lot more room than manifolds!

Why not go to his message board and ask Steve himself... He should have all the feed back from various users.

I've used in combination with Hooker Super Comps. It's close, but it clears.

Last year, I cut up the headers and used the bends to make my own Tri Y headers. Reason was that the Super Comps reduced ground clearance to less than 4", so I got tired of them scraping the road. So, I wouldn't recommend them for a street driven car. Neither would I recommend making your own headers. It takes ages.
