I have a Mustang Steve cable clutch conversion on my 68 stand and the cable has a bracket on it. Halfway down the cable where do I put the bracket? There are no holes specific in that location in the bracket is affixed to the cable. It also has a Thang on it to locate it next to a bolt hole. Where have people put that bracket?

I have the same thing in my 68 Cougar- There is not necessarily going to be a hole that you can fit that into. Do you have headers installed? I have had to replace my cable because of routing issues. Make sure you have adequate space around everything, before you drill any holes, or make a permanent mount.
