it would be fairly close. both trap about the same. the evo may have a slight advantage with the closer ratio gears.

0-60 doesn't mean much in a race from a roll.

Like all of the new fast AWD cars they are only fast when they have the advantage of going from a dead stop.

From a 10mph roll, I say the GT will walk it for a little while, but the Evo will start catching up.

All depends on how long they go for.

I have driven both, and the Evo has some masive Turbo Lag, and their first gear is real tall, so they would/should start in either 1st gear at high RPM, or 2nd gear at low RPM, and that will kill their time. The GT can wind out first from about 10-30. The Evo WILL track close though, but with an experienced driver in the GT, I gotta go with the Mustang.

Even though the numbers don't lie, I still say Mustang.

What is the Evo, 270hp, and the GT is 260?

GT = Torque though...

It would be close.

On the other hand, there are plenty of cars out there that will beat a GT. The Evo wins from a roll....dead stop....doesn't matter.

Well the GTs have a heck of a low gear and they hook pretty good stock when going from a roll.I gave my friend a ride in my GT and he said that my 1st feels just as fast as his 1st in his 02 SS camaro that has custom computer programming...its dynos 281.6 RWHP and 396 RWTQ on a mustang dyno.I rode in it today and he hit it from a 15 or so MPH through alot of 1st and I think it has a little more RIGHT off pull when he first hit it, then right after that I think my 1st is either dead even or maybe a little quicker...hard to tell.So if these cars are that fast through first I am going to say stang...through 1st anyways.

Those of you that have seen an Evo run at the track know there fast. I have a buddy that had 3"exhaust,and claimed the rest was stock and he ran a 12.40 Went to the track last week and seen one running 11.80's. That AWD is unreal. They can bounce off the rev limiter and just launch! Not many GT's can touch one. EVO wins stock for stock hands down!!

Evos are fairly fast cars. Good traction more horsepower than a stock gt. Thats why they are priced in cobra terrritory.
