That was not my opinion, but my friends who doe not believe me that the 03-04 cobra or any mustangs not heavily modified ( he means no stock trim) can run in the 11's or better. I showed him so many peoples time on their sigs he wants to see a video and the time on the board at the end.

Go over to SVTPerformance.com and check out their "Pics & Video Buffet".

You should be able to find what you need in there.

LOL. How about a 99 Cobra, n/a, stock internals, nothing but bolt-ons and drag radials?

VIDEO

It's gone 11.60 on slicks, but I don't have the video (yet). If he/she/it still doesn't want to believe it, smile and go on down the road. :)

Hi Bob,

I recently seen a picture of your 99 Cobra with the front end off the ground during a launch. That looks so awesome. (I copied that picture to my computer background.) I was wondering what it would take to be able to pull the front end off the ground of a 1996 Cobra. I currently have pullies, K&N, and some gears on the way. Thanks.

Howdy,

You're probably referring to this pic...

That picture is neat, but the car was twisting quite a bit due to low pressure in the passenger-side rear tire (I think the slick spun on the rim) and thus it isn't really what you want to do. At the time, I had a set of HPM double-adjustable upper and lower control arms in the solid axle, and the front sway bar was removed. Along with a set of 26x10 Hoosier slicks, that's it for the suspension. The 60 ft on that pass was only a 1.59, if memory serves.

I now have adjustable shocks/struts, and more street-friendly X2C control arms - and have gone 1.55 60 fts on a modest (6300 rpm) launch. No pics - though I should be getting a video soon.
