I had the heads off my car twice and every time I do this there seems to be an air bubble trapped in the system that wont go away for a long, long time, even after trying to work it out. The temp sticks at 100 when cold, then it spikes to 250 real quick but the engine isnt hot by touch. Happen to anybody else after doing a head install?

Not necessarily after a head install, but I know what you're talking about.

Does your thermostat have the small hole drilled in it? Are you taking the procedure to burp the cooling system?

Best thing to do is jack up the drivers side front of the car, where the rad cap is... This makes it much higher then then rest of the system, and all the air will burp out much easier. Try it out.

Good luck bud.

Yeah I'll have to try jacking up the car and working on the bubbles a bit more. Thanks guys
