I was driving last night, I guess at a high rate of speed, when smoke started coming from the front of my car. A rock went through the open area in my front bumper and actually punctured a hole in my A/C condenser while I was driving on the highway. I am bringing my car to the dealer for warranty work Monday ( rear diff seal ), and I am going to suggest to them that they fix it under warranty. If they deny my request, can a radiator shop fix the leak. I've priced a new one at the dealer and they are expensive ($279). That's almost the cost of a good mod. Anyone know where I can get a substantial discount or perhaps an aftermarket condenser for less, and is it even worth it to fix it.
Thanks,
Kurt

It technically wouldn't be a "warranty" item since it wasn't a "defect" (it obviously wasn't the manufacturer's fault that a rock damaged it, ya know?). You can try to warranty it, but you *probably* won't get very far IMHO...

You could always order a new one & install it yourself ( www.fordpartsnetwork.com or another site)... $279 ain't that bad.
