Hey guys, I'm just starting to post in this section. I spend the majority of my time in 5.0 Talk, but I'll be hanging out in here more often now that I just sold off my 1991 notchback and got into this 1999 GT. Some of you may recognize me from seeing me posting around. Please check out the car and give me any and all advice/thoughts/comments/criticisms.

My plans for this car include a KB or Whipple, larger injectors/MAF and tune and whatever fuel system upgrades will be necessary. I'll also do terminator side skirts and front and rear bumpers, with the "COBRA" lettering filled in in the back, of course. I'm not into clones. :notnice: My power goal for the car is 550/550 or somewhere in that range, without touching the stock long block.

Opinions welcome. Thanks guys!!

Very nice and clean! Some aftermarket smoked or clear headlights would look good...

Thanks!! I have plans for some smoked headlights and sequential tails. :nice:

Looks awesome and fast

Thank you! It is definitely the quickest car I have ever been in. With all of the weight reduction is has all of the horsepower of a pulied termi, but a great many pounds lighter. It dead hooks with the SRA and DRs and tracks very straight even when it spins. I'm glad it doesn't have the IRS, honestly. It's set up very well. :D

Nice.....It looks fast, even sitting still. :nice:

Thanks Brian! I could really use your expertise when I start making my list of parts to hit my new HP goal. Keep your eye out. :nice:

wow!!! sweet, ive read your sig, but didnt know it was a termi motor, thats a hell of a rear tire!!!! it looks huge, i love it!

Thanks buddy, yeah the M&H DRs are 325s and they're HUGE, haha. They rub a bit on tight turns and sling rocks like a mother F'er, but I must say, they hook extremely well. Street race guys have been swearing by the M&Hs for years over the M/T ET streets, and now I know why.

that is absolutely badass! i think you should forget about the full cobra treatment for the exterior, the sleeper effect you have going is crazy. some smoked headlights and a chin spoiler would really set it off though

1991notchbackLX, I want a hood like that. How does it fit? does it close like factory?

The hood fits extremely well. It's a Cervinis. It latches just like factory but I'm going to get some hood pins anyway just for peace of mind.

That is awesome:nice:

Thanks! :D

I've been tossing around what I want to do with the exterior of the car for a while now, actually. We'll see what route I end up taking once I get the car to the horsepower level I want. Go fast parts come first, of course, hahah. :nice:

:jaw:

Man, you are going to ruin a lot of peoples day at the track...:rlaugh:

Sick build man, I bet it is a blast to drive.

haha, thanks! It sure is fun seeing the look on people's faces... :D

What was needed to swap in the terminator engine?

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but the entire drivetrain, computer, harness, and fuel system from the Cobra was swapped into this car along with a bigger intercooler and heat exchanger and some other upgrades/weight reductions. A complete brake system from a Mach 1 was also installed. The original T56 was swapped out for the built Art Carr C4 that's currently in the car.

It looks like you only have a gas pedal in that last pic. I take it that you dont ever stop and you are an avid believer of power shifting ;)

<- *extremely jealous*

Haha, the steering wheel is blocking it, but who needs to stop anyway?? :nice:

sooo so so so so sick... if i could suggest a appearence modification, have a body shop sand the mirrors smooth and color match them.. i did mine and i love it my car is the same color

Glad to see you finally made it over here to the 4.6 section Chris. I knew once you got that badass car, it was only a matter of until you made the jump from the 5.0 section.... How is everything?:nice:

Hey Dustin! Thanks for the compliment on the car. Everything is great by me, finishing up grad school and interviewing for jobs, just got a new girlfriend who's a keeper, no complaints out of me! :nice: How about you? How's the sunshine state treating you?
