I have been pretty busy the last month or so putting together my 1st mod for my 91 Notch. I picked up a used complete HCI motor & T5 from a friend of a friend. I want to thank my buddy Chris majorly for putting in all the long hours & hard work so i could finally get this thing installed & back on the road & I want to thank StreakMatt for all the help & advice along the way. When I traded my 95 GT for this car a few months ago, it was a bone stock AOD car, now it has HCI & a 5 speed.....

The new mods are...

=Edelbrock 2.02 heads
=1.6 rockers on the intake & 1.72 rockers on the exhaust
=E cam
=Edelbrock RPM II
=BBK 70mm TB
=BBK fuel regulator
=Mac cold air
=underdrive pullies
=AC delete
=Energy suspension poly motor mounts
=1 5/8" LT's (Mac I think??)
=Shorty o/r X pipe
=Tremec world class T5
=MGW shifter
=Centerforce dual friction clutch
=Maximum Motorsports quadrant & firewall adjuster
=88 tilt column swap

The car runs pretty good, but does need a few more things to complete the swap like 24# injectors, C&L Maf, better fuel pump, 3.73's, electric fan, MSD 6AL (which I have already but have yet to install) & it has a small exhaust leak from the driver side header. I know the manifold is kinda on the big side, but I have bigger plans down the road.....

Here are some pics....

That was originally an airbag car, correct? I can see some kind of weird bump out in the panel below the steering wheel that looks out of place with that steering wheel?

Yes, it's a '91.

I don't think it looks out of place. I have a 90+ dash in my '88 so it's the same and it's never been noticable to me

If memory serves they didnt all have air bags. That pannel is different because of the cluster change and the fuse box relocation they did in 90. If you look, you can see it is a tilting colum. Seems like it would be alot of work to yank the airbag colum and install a tiltin colum

Actually read his first post. He installed an '88 tilt column.

It's not that hard to do.

Yeah all the 90-93 foxes have airbags.

I hate the little horn buttons on the airbag wheel, but I hate that the 87-89 wheel doesn't have any 'top spokes' even more. It dosent work with my steering style at all, I would have to put an aftermarket wheel on an 87-89 if I had one, but then I'd loose the CC buttons.

Thanks for all the compliments guys.... The car feels pretty stout right now, but it should feel 100X's better with some 3.73's or 3.90's.

The car did originally have an air bag wheel, which i wasnt too fond of, but the main reason I changed it out is because I couldnt stand the non tilt column. This is my 1st Fox & since I have only owned SN95's, I was partial to the lower steering wheel position. The non tilt made me feel like I was driving a school bus..LOL!!! One day I will get an aftermarket wheel too....

The idler pulley was relocated when I added the March AC delete....

By the way, I dont know if you guys remember the thread I posted up a couple months back about when i weighed my coupe? Bone stock (except o/r h pipe & wheels) with a 1/4 tank gas it weighed in @ 3,190....Here is what it weighed yesterday with a 1/2 tank of gas & the new combo.....

Looks good, nice mods too. The weight gives me a lot of hope to get mine around 2900 even with the things I have planned!
