Hi...I was driving my stamg all day and it was fine. All of a sudden, I jump in the car and turn the key but it doesn't start. I noticed that the ceiling lights work but the radio doesn't turn on. Not sure if it's the battery, how can I diagnose further? If it's another problem, what can I do to diagnose other issues? The car has about 50,000 miles in it. Thanks.

have you tried asking it nicely?

seriously though, we need a lot more info. does it click? does the car turn over, but just not want to "catch"? could be many many things. a car needs 3 things to start; fuel, spark and timing. if it is missing any one, it wont start. now, if the car is missing any one thing, it could be caused by many possible problems. the most common problems for not starting are bad battery, bad starter, bad fuel pump. did you do anything new/different to the car recently? change the plugs? any maintenence? MORE INFO!!!

Thanks for your help guys! It turned out to be the battery. I dropped in another battery to test and my car worked fine so I stopped at AutoZone to pick up a new battey. Car runs great now.

Yeah. I know. I like to start fires early so I can get the mind juices flowing. Sorry.
