My 331 times good or bad?

For current combo read sig. (New Combo). I am still running the stock MAF computer (rev limited) and have not yet been to the dyno (track tuning). My future plans are steeper gear prob 3.73.
also PMS controller and diff intake. Not sure which intake yet. Leaning towards RPM II. Any suggestions in this area appreciated.

The car is still pulling hard when I powershift @ 5800 (anything higher and I hit the stock rev limiter). The cam is supposed to pull to 6500 so I'm not sure what is being left by shifting early. Also, with a Performer I am not sure it does any good to rev as high as I do.

I guess was just wondering if I am expecting to much w/combo or if the intake and maybe even the cam are holding me back. I know the gear is mismatched (3.27) but I was hoping for a higher MPH than 110. It was hot when I ran this time 85 degrees and 90% how much should I gain this fall with say 60 degrees and less humidity?

I am also still running 1 5/8 mac shorties. I was thinking of LT's but after reading a few articles in some 5.0 rags they performed better w/equal length shorties. This was totally the opposite of what I was expecting. Anybody with dyno results w/stroker and a swap for LT's I would love to hear from you.

I am sure I left something out if so let me know. Any help will be useful and appreciated.

Thanx,

Parker

That cam is tiny bro. If you want a comp off the shelf, go with a comp 282. MY friend runs that cam in his 306 and it peaks around 5500. I'd be lookig at a tfs r or a victor 5.0 intake and a real cam. You NEED 1 3/4" longtubes!! 75mm TB at least 30lb injectors..

For your setup, you're turning some decent times. I'm sure the thing's nice and torquey on the street with good low end.The gears should help you but you didn't mention what rpm you were crossing the line at. Might want to check into a custom burnt chip to get around that factory rev limiter and optimize your tune. Wait till you have the cam etc. that you want to stick with first of course. Everything Grn92LX said above will help if you don't mind giving up a little streetability.

Thanx guys for the input. I know now I should have gone with a larger cam but I was trying to stay SD. When I put it all back together I had to convert to MAF anyway. As for defeating the rev limit...that is why I was looking into the PMS controller. I do drive the car on the street but it is not my daily driver. But I do want to keep reliability and streetability up.

I will prob go with a custom cam later but first will be the intake and the controller. Then injectors cam and gears. Heck I might even take the heads off for a good porting.

All I wanted before was 11s and all I need is a little colder temp and I'll be there. Since the last time at the track I have added alum UD pullies and taken the A/C off. So I am sure I can get an 11 out of it next time.

My best 60ft. has been 1.70. Is this about the best I can get w/3.27 gears? Also I have no idea what RPM I go through the lights at. I think I shift into 4th prob about 150ft before the 1/4. So I am sure I am nowhere near red line.

Thanx again,

Parker
