my 347 stroker is SMOKIN'

No really, its smoking BAD, the car sat for about 2 months, and i am well aware that it needs an oil change and oil pan gasket, but i mean this pony smokes its tail off! smoke comes out of the header gasket (or where its supposed to be) the valve cover breather, someone please tell me this thing only needs some new manifold gaskets and an oil change! also its got a 6AL msd ignition box on the firewall but doesnt feel like its kickin in, the guy i bought the ride from didnt seem like the brightest bulb ever so im wondering if there is anyone who could toss a stray thought over here and let me know whats happening. Thanks.

Sorry to sound like this but a msd box doesn't "kick in". That statement belongs in the fast and furious movies.......lol. Along with the mind blowing naaaawwwwssss kits.

Seriously though. Check everything out. Check all fluids. Check plugs. What you want to see is a light brown kinda tannish plug color. White or silverish specks on the plug mean lean and possible detonation. Black sooty look means rich. Check fuel pressure. Check ALL vacuum connections. Possibly do a compression test just to reassure you that the internals are good still. There are a ton of things to check and those are just some.

If smoke is coming off near or on the header it is most likely the v/c gaskets leaking on the hot header, check the bolts to make sure they are tight. An oil change will not stop the smoking..

If this is an EFI car and you have a PCV valve you need to run a sealed cap on the oil fill, not a open breather that is creating a major vac leak...
