haha....who didnt think this would happen? I put 300 miles on the motor and was going to spray a 50shot on it for the first time. Well I was doing a test run before spraying racing a 1996 yamaha R6 and well it was an OK race till I tried to slam 3rd and it just grinded. Well anyway, if I put it in gear and hold it in while letting out on the clutch it stays in gear. I took it out tonight in like 15 minutes and when I pulled off the bellhousing the 3-4 shift fork has a big chunk missing off where it hooks onto the shift linkage, the rest was floating inside. Everything else looks ok thankfully, but how bad is this i thing to rebuild. I put a 5.4 in the car so the t45 cant be that bad, but I have read no write ups on it. Anyone can help?

The t45 bolts right up, same bellhousing. I am using the stock 97gt harness and computer and she runs like a champ. probally not the best for power, but she gets over 18mpg and runs STRONG!

Have you thought about upgrading the tranny? Maybe with the G-Force or something like that. If it broke once it's going to break again. Just my opinion.

get the TR-3650 it has a 360ft/lbs rating vice the 325ft/lbs the T-45 has

if you want something beefy, get the T-56 TUET 1808 (viper spec)

Don't waste your money on a t-3650, when you know you need a better tranny

Yea what about something like the X2C trannys. Dont know how their customer service is, but I hear they make an awesome tranny. Tremec also has new trannies out, dont just put a stock one back in. At least do a t56.

Boss330 with his 5.4 put out over 430ft/lbs and his STOCK t45 gave him no problems! Its all about luck, but the t45 is an AWESOME tranny as long as you dont powershift!
