It is out of a Ford F-250 Light Duty. It has a Steel Crank and all the other beefed up goodies a truck motor has.

Unless you put one in there, Its likely to have a Nodular Iron Crank in it. There's nothing beefed up about a truck motor in comparison to your run of the mill 4.6L, I'm sorry to say. Same hypereutectic pistons, same cracked cap rods.mustangman9812 said:It is out of a Ford F-250 Light Duty. It has a Steel Crank and all the other beefed up goodies a truck motor has.
Because for what it would cost to buy, then ship, you could build your own stout 5.4L set up, for less.squares98 said:Question: Why dont people import aussie 5.4l engines? Even if it cost anf extra grand in shipping it would seem worth it.
I'd double check the Crank Shaft itself if I were you. I know wikipedia states they had a forged crankshaft in them, but they've been known to generalize before. Other sources I've found stated how previous 5.4L's used a Nodular Iron version and the Lightning’s were the only 2V's to get them.mustangman9812 said:Well i know for a fact mine has a steel crank. Pistons and rods dont matter they are being changed
