My 89 lx!

Hey guys here is the 89 lx i brought home last night. Its a 4 banger that i am gonna use as a donor car. My 87 gt is rotted bad. I know its dirty but its cold in ny and its not on the raod. My plans are carb blow thru with a mp t70 turbo. C4 tranny. I dont know if i want to keep it this color ( metallic meduim shadow blue 3r code) or paint it darker.Hoping for 10's. I haven't seen alot of mustangs that color. I think its growing on me. I dont think the car will be totaly together until next year. I want to put a tube k in it paint the underside and rear with por-15 and smooth the engine bay. Then i can start with the turbo build, i have everything for the build minus the master power t70 but thats only like 600 bucks. I have a cobra R hood that i gonna put on it also, and some centerline skinnies and fats.

The guy i bought the car from did that, he also put a police interceptor badge on the hatch

It looks like a pretty good car for that kind of project. I personally like the color and would not change it. Now its time to get work tearing it down. Good luck with it, and keep us posted on updates.

looks like it's in good shape for a 1989 car in the year 2185... that would make it 176 years old

Yeah, its not that bad looking. Its always the guys with the V6's and I4s that make their car look fast. I never really got it. You can always tell when you see a camaro or mustang that has graphics and huge spoilers and crap that its not the v8
