Hey guyz, i want to sand my 92 dx to bare metal and prime it myself, first is that a bad idea? second is there any known body problems with the 92 knotch backs? and third whats the best way to do this cuz i looked online, but what i found wasnt to helpful. Any priming tips, sanding tips, and tips at all would be great, oh and is roll on primer cool if i sand the car to bare metal right, and then sand the primer well???

Thanks alot guyz, you guyz are always soooooo helpful

wouldnt do it unless there is a problem with the factory primer.if u do strip it make sure u wash it first then wipe it down with wax and grease remover then u can start sanding, use 80 grit sand paper on a dual action sander an once u get to bare metal wipe down with wax and grease remover again and spray down an acid etching primer then a high build sandable primer!no dont brush on the primer

I can only say one thing about what you want to do. Primer is a very very important part of a great paint job. If you don't have experience painting I'd leave it.
