My 95 Gt is way to slow for me so i am selling it

Hey all fellow mustang nuts. I am selling my Black 95 gt auto because i am sick of my friend, with a 98 z28, beating me by about 5 car lengths. The reason that I made this post is that i just installed 4.10s in the stang and even though i changed the vehicle speed sensor gear the speedometer is off by 10 miles per hour. This makes the odometer roll faster than it should. So my question is if there is any way to fix this to read accurately because im thinking if i sell it as is it will bring down the value of my car. ANY IDEAS? Hopefully i can sell this thing before the snow flies so i can buy a Gm performance parts zz454 for my 83 monte carlo. So long mustang lovers. Someday when i get enough money i will return to the mustang ways with a 03/04 cobra.

Your spedo is off b/c you put the wrong spedo gear in, simple as that.

You got some against the automatics. J/K. Look how much your friend bought his car for. So the price differences could have H/C/I and maybe a stoker or blower. Then see who gets there ass handed to them. It's not hard to buy a car already fast.

No mods on a 10 year old 302 vs. a little later model 350 cubic inch tq motor=5 car lengths. It's just simple math. Just a few mods can put you right in the mix.

the 1990-95 T5 uses an 8 tooth drive gear. You can only correct the speedometer by replacing the speedo gear up to a 3.55 differential. You are going to have to use a Speed Cal OR replacing your drive gear as well.

Its impossible to correct your speedomoter and odometer using a 4.10 rear and only replacing the speedo gear.

If you replace the drive gear with a 6 tooth gear, then you need a 20 tooth speedo gear. If you replace it with a 7 tooth gear, then you need a 23 tooth speedo gear.

The easiest way to do it would be to buy a Dallas Speed Cal and be done with it.

Make sure to grow the mullet while you're building up your Chevy.

thats crazy, why would you want a POS camaro over your stang? You could take the money you'd spend on that camaro, and put it in your stang, and walk on cameros all day. I dont get it

Im in college and cant afford parts for my stang I would keep it if i worked full time and could buy h/c/i for it. The bank wont let me take out a loan for car parts but they will let me take out a loan for a car.

Get a student loan then. I have a ton of friends that did that. Low apr and didnt have to pay it until they got a real job. As me I am just saving my money. My day will come. And what car you you even going to buy. You said you were going to buy an engine.

A '98+ LS1 is going to cost you a lot more than what you will be getting for your '95 GT. I don't know anything about your car, or what you will get for it. But most *descent* LS1s go for around $10k. Of course a lot will argue that one can be had for less, but i'll have to argue back that only under certain circumstances one can be found for that price (high miles, reconstructed title) etc... Now you say your a broke college student and can't afford to mod your car, but then you say you're going to go out and drop 3 or 4 grand to get a '98 + LS1... doesn't make sense to me. Take this into account... because I already came from the camaro world... For the 10 or so grand that you spent... I bought myself a descent mileage '94 GT with a few mods done to it for 6 grand. With 4 grand I will be saving... I can not only whip an LS1's ass. I could look better doing it.

Just my opinion.
