My A/C barely blows air? Help!!

Last time I saw that problem was on a GM vehicle and the blower motor resistor was gone. I would start at the blower motor with a test light or a multimeter and start working your way back up the food chain to the switch that will tell you whats going on :) Good luck!

If lack of airflow is you problem, it is probably vacuum related. The A/C system uses vacuum to open and close the air flow control flapper valves. Look under the hood for cracked or damaged vacuum lines.

I don't have any problem with air flow on my '93 Mustang but I do have a problem I can't figure out. The other day, the A/C was working perfectly, turned the car off and when I came back and started the car, the A/C was blowing out the floor vents and the window vents...not the vents on the dash. Checked the heat and it does the same thing. Any Ideas..Oh, I check the vaccuum lines and they look to be OK.

Thanks.

Ok I found my problem and fixed at a cost $8.31. I replaced the blower switch. It took me about 20 minutes to change.

I popped the frame piece from around the switches, removed the four hex screws from the gauges, and then proceded to pull the clip off of the switch. While removing the clip from the switch it crumble into several pieces and appeared to have shorted out and melted. I then removed the clip from the remaining attached pieces then placed the new one in and tested the blower levels and they all worked!!

It's a very simple fix and cheap and I recommend before even touching the $40+ blower that anyone with problems related to fan blowing levels replace this piece first or atleast take a look at it to see if their may be a problem.
