I work for gm and yes you should be worried. Those cars are fast. Wait till he finds out about the 3 stage kits that gm offers. A little pricey but the lay down some big numbers. I agree with daggar time for a power adder

I dunno man....i always give credit where credit is due...i've fallen to a few Civic and i respect every one of them that i lose to....but that Cobalt was a slug. We ran to at least 80mph before we shut down and i only hit about 98-99mph in the quarter so unless you're talking 130+ i say he didn't stand a chance. Hell with 4.10 gears yeah i wouldn't stand a chance beyond about 115mph, but who gives a damn about roll racing anyways? Racing from a roll is retarded as hell. No sanctioned racing body has EVER ran a race from a roll, so even if he put 30 car lengths on me i wouldn't care since he couldn't hold a candle from a dig.

The last Civic i went down to was on the highway. I killed him up to about 100mph and then he just drove away. I caught up with him in town and asked if he wanted to hit it from a stop and he said flat not "no way man"

I wouldnt call the Cobalt a slug, thats hardly right. They dont post the best ET's from a dig becuase its FWD, thats why I said the 5.0 should hold it off from a dig race but from a roll I believe the SS will pull. This is based off of trap speeds I have saw at the track, my buddy has a SS balt and its hardly a slug.

I'm pretty sure there is only one (supercharged) version.

I just looked it up. There are two. There is a supercharged 2.0, and a 2.4 n/a.

Just buy a set of Nitto 555 or Mickey ET's. With your mods alone that should be enough to kill him from a dig. At least to 3rd gear.

If not...

Put on a MAF, Intake and electric fan.

They also have a 2.4 coupe. It looks nice (not that I would get one).

I work next to a Chevy dealership. I see all the new crap they get in. They have a Z06 in the showroom now. They won’t let me drive it.

I get to test drive most of the cars that come in (the dude that owns the place is a client), but I was told no. Same thing with the two door Caddy.

The one my bro bought is a S/C 2.0. It's a pretty nice car and it's no slouch. I'd like to see how it does at the track though.

Yes you should be worried.

My friend has an '05. I ran him in my GT (14.1 at the track) and he was door to door with me to 110MPH.

Traffic ahead so we started slowing down.

He's done upgrades since like pulley, exhaust, and a tune. It's faster, but I haven't had a chance to line up again with him.

Don't feel bad. I couldn't even test drive an 05 Mustang GT. He said it was because I didn't have full coverage insurance, but it was mainly because I was 21.
