my busted door lock...

soooooo at FFW this summer i managed to lock my keys in my car. One of the event staff got me in via a slim jim but managed to bust the passenger side lock. The key just turns in the tumbler now, but the power locks still work thankfully.

I took off the door panel and (correct me if i'm wrong) but it looks like something was supposed to hold a rod to the tumbler. Whatever was on there, isnt now and there isnt anything connected to the tumbler. What do i need to fix this or how can i fix it?? I looked down in the door but couldnt see anything that might've snapped or fallen off....i have no part to compare to a picture or order....

There is a little plastic retaining clip that holds the linkage to the lock cylinder. It's a snap in affair as I recall (I remember worrying that I was going to break mine).

I'd check a resto site or J/Y for the retaining clip.

Others that remember a lot more than I do will be able to help a lot more.

Though it isn't exactly like the OEM one I'm holding in my hand, I can't see why it wouldn't work.
