I have a 86' gt, and it has really bad wheel hop. I was told that it could be the quad shocks, but i pulled the wheel off and the look like they are new. I just recently bought the car,and the guy had lowered it 2" with moroso springs. Could the lowering springs have cause that? Another guy told me that i should just get some lower control arms for it and it should take care of it. So any advice you guys have would be awesome.

1986 Mustang gt
347stroker,t-5,3:55 gears,headers,flowmaster exhaust.
not sure of the time since i just bought the car, im assuming mid 13's
future mods
Replace stock intake, and heads with afr heads and trick flow intake

The quad shocks could cause it, but the regular shocks could also cause it if they are worn. If any of your bushings are really sloppy it could also be the problem. Sometimes different tire compounds will cause wheel hop.

Are your tires bald or on there way there?

Mine were bald a few years ago before I had solid uppers/lowers and when I stomped in the 1st 2 gears it would light them up and then wheel hop. Replaced the upper/lowers and new tires and MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Dont worry about the quads. The upper/lowers are more important.

www.blueovalindustries.com has uppers/lowers set for 150. Cant beat that. Your car will thank you....i promise.

Mike,

WOW thats a good price. Did you buy them ones for your car? I think I might give them a call Monday when they're open and order a set. Ctrl arms are on The "We need:" list for my car. That will take care of that. They look like decent quality control arms too...
