should i be selling it for more you think? NADA Collector value is $24,200. that's what the banks use...should i be asking $26K+? opinions? i figured the price was where it needed to be.

EDIT: price adjusted

I would add up how much you have in mods then take 50% of that and add to NADA value.I think that would be a better starting point. You will just have to wait for someone that is looking for a saleen and doesn't want an 03-04 cobra like everyone else.Since you will be in the same price range as a modded cobra so you may have to be patient. Is there any way you could keep it?

that would be close to $32K and there's no way i'd get that for it in this market. i spoke with Mark today at PAS and he agreed that $26.5K is a good price.

Dude, I had to chuckle when I read your write up. You replaced the blower with a KB 1.7, had the car dynoed, added a CF hood (looks awesome), put "meats" on the back, yet it's never been raced or beat on. Shift light is just for looks right? C'Mon man, you're amongst friends here. You can't seriously tell me you haven't run the balls off of that thing. Plus, is that a typo, or are they making a 296/35/18 (295's right?)? I've been reading your posts for a while now (all the way through the build-up)... Not dizzin on ya or anything, just found it humerous. Nobody builds a car up like that w/o running it. Figured I'd tease ya a little!

On a serious note, it sucks that you have to get rid of the car. You put a lot of work into it and it looks awesome...

i stand by that statement. i've worked in law enforcement in metro atlanta for 7 years and i can drive the tires off a crown vic doing 50mph or 90mph. when i say the car hasn't been beat on, that means i haven't ragged it out. no 6Krpm launches, donuts, powerslides, powershifting, boost in cold temperatures, etc. does the car see boost and WOT? of course...but the car is built for that and well maintained. the car has never had anything but street tires, never been to a strip, on and on. that means no racing. no street racing, no nothing. i'm sure there are plenty of guys here on the boards that drive hard as well...there's a difference between that and beating on it. the tach light? i like it personally, and when i push it to the floor i don't have to take my eyes off the road. so yeah...the car has not been beat on.

Damn Dave.

I know you are teasin but it is for sale...

Probable,

You know I have been following your car for some time. Sorry to hear about the possible sale. I'm sure there will be another Saleen in your future.

Bump for the perfect Saleen the way Steve should have sold them from the factory.

Yea, I was just teasing.. No offense Probable. Does suck that you have to sell it though. I'd try and figure out a way to keep it given what you've done...
