My car rides like a buckboard...

Well the 18" wheels musta been the straw that broke the camels back...my car officially rides like ass now...I kinda expected it though...got no damn sidewalls to em...
It rode nice with the OEM shocks and struts(15k on em) with my old 98 Cobras, but i think the springs got to be replaced now..I have run Mac springs for years no probs...then last year i cut 1/2 coil front and 1 coil rear for a better stance..the ride was still acceptable...Its gone now... :(

Being the classifieds whore that I am... :D I scammed a set of 03 Cobra rear Bils with like 10 miles on em...I missed out on the front struts.. :bang: Sooo along comes a new in the box Bullit(Tokico) set-up, shocks/struts/all the hardware...got that in the mail today....i was thinking of throwing the Bils on the rears...I need to fab a special bushing to run these, since they're a larger dia hole than the GT, not a biggie problem...a little Bridgeport job to make em...or I just run the Bullit package??

Now i need some freakin springs like yesterday....I thought the new S/S would cure the ride, but the springs gotta be the problem....she's banging hard on the bumps, and I never had that before...

With that said...anyone whos got pics of their Bullit S/S set-up would be helpful...i been to Steeda/Saleen/MM/HR/Ebay trying to figure what to get... :bang: I already have the subs, offsets, Energy Suspension bushings from when i did the initial drop...I cant seem to make a choice??? Anyone got something their looking to get rid of in a hurry??? Right now I just wanna cure this sucky ride..and quickly I might add..Its gonna beat the car to death... :nonono:

Shorter sidewalls will provide a stiffer ride. You may want to consider a matched set of struts/shocks that work well with specific springs. MM is always good, depending on how much bling factor you need.

In three weeks, I've got an appointment to get my suspension stuff put on. I've already purchased most of MM's Road & Track Kit (not including PHB or rear control arms). H&R race springs, Bilsteins, bushings, endlinks, and other stuff. Should be nice and only lowers the car 1". High spring rates, but the Bilsteins are a perfect match. I want a car that can handle well, but also live on the street as a near daily driver.

I hear you on the matched stuff...I was gonna do a bunch of suspension stuff, coilovers and all, and then decided no...i wanna put together another motor over the Winter, so this is it for me this year...
I looked into some Bils for the front and then seen something about them and a coilover set-up needing special Bils, or some coilovers needing grooved Bils to work??? That kinda swayed me to stop before i got to much $$$ into it...

Just gotta do the best with what i have at the moment...Im sure I can get the ride back where it was...Chit, most tuner cars come with 18s and i'm sure they dont ride like ass... :D

Cutting the springs was cool on my old set-up...It porked me on this one... :(
