This has been debated time & again. Get the Mach. You'll pat yourself on the back in 20-30 years when it's a classic.

Sorry, but it'll never be a true classic. Too many in the production run. Besides, he said he buys cars all the time so I doubt he keeps them very long.

Just do what you want to do and enjoy whatever you're driving.

I guess I have purchased alot of cars because I thought I would be happy with each, but I guess there is only one car that makes me truly happy. Thats why I kept the 93 Cobra. I want to make the next purchase the last one but I feel if I buy a Mach 1 then when I see the 05 I might get the itch.

You dont buy a new mach beacuse its going to be worth tons in 20 years. You buy one because they are badass, tough sounding, sexy looking cars that are damn quick for the price.

I kick myself everytime i think about it because i wish i had waiting 6 months till the mach's came out and started dropping in price. I think i would have been much more pleased with a 12 second car and only spending 2000 bucks to get there.

Dont get me wrong i love my mustang...it would have been smarter to get a mach 4valve to start with imo. but i had waited so long to get my mustang and the deals were so sweet i really didnt' make a bad decision.

In any case the mach is a nice car for the money.

Wait till you can test drive the 05 then compare and make a decision. But i always say dont buy something just because its newer...look at all the price / performance and appearance.

The 2005 types will be around when you want to get one. And there will be all kinds of them in the future. The Mach 1 is in the last year of production and WILL be a classic. Just shop around better and get the Mach - this month should be a great time to buy.

Last great Mach 1's where 69/70 (IMO) look how much they are worth today. They where also built right before a big design change. Will the 03/04 Mach 1's be worth as much? Who knows who really cares?

If you can wait, wait until the 05 GT comes out and test drive it then and the Mach 1.

The Mach 1 will be a bit faster and a bit more rare then the new GT. If it was me I would have a hard time choosing but I would be looking into a 03 Cobra instead.

a couple months ago I traded my 04 gt for a 04 mach1.after looking at pics. at the 05,i decided to buy the mach.I decided that I liked the mach better, plus there was only like 7,000 mach1's made in 04.I say go with the body style you like best.BTW with my a-plan and 3,000 rebate I paid 24,000. for my mach.I hope this helped.

Another vote for the 2003 Cobra.

If it must be between a Mach and a 2005 GT, get a 2003 Mach 1. Just as fast as a 2004, and several thousand dollars cheaper.
