My Eighty dollar LX

Well after a couple months of the holidays, rain, work, kids etc. I'm finally getting back around to the stang. The graphics are still on there, and I haven't tried to get them off, but that hood is fiberglass and I don't know what a heat gun or blow dryer will do to it. I guess I'll let y'all know :o

I've taken a look underneath.. Flowmasters all the way out with the x pipe, aluminum driveshaft and G force drag radials, 8.8 posi, and welded subframe. I'm going to have to re route the aluminum fuel line though, it goes from the engine bay down into the driveshaft tunnel before it goes back into the tank. The driveshaft is rubbing a flat spot on the line and I moved (bent) it out of the way enough to stop the rub, but I think I'll start over with new line.

I've driven it around town and onto the interstate, man what a blast. There are 2 more foxes on my road, but haven't raced them. I did race a Suzuki 1400, and he beat me but not by much, maybe 2-3 car lengths.. we were just messing around anyway, he saw 103 on his speedo, but mine doesn't work and I was too busy watching him :D

I'll post more pics as the car progresses. It does look better now, have replaced the drip rails with better ones and replaced cracked up cowling, cleaned her up, and other little stuff.

being a former 4cyl it would be easier to rip the wiring out and go carb versus transferring the EEC and EFI crap over from another car. that was the dead ringer for me.

I actually found that the install of the efi harness when I did my 5.0 swap was pretty easy. I thought to just carb it and call it a day but cant beat the ease of an efi engine start up. If it runs fine now then you also have to go with the "if it aint broke" school of thought. Nice score, lots of potential and cant beat the price.

Here's a few I took yesterday

Like I said, those graphics are coming off one way or another. I may try my hand at it this weekend :)
