Your brake fluid is pitch black. Add a fluid flush to list of things to do

The tranny and bellhousing is stock, I have changed the clutch assembly and the tranny crossmember but it did not change anything. And actually the brake fluid is in fine shape...just my engine bay is absolutely filthy

Hey do you have the ability to put the car up on jackstands on a level area and run some plumb-bob/plumb-line to check straightness/"correctness" of the frame.

Its a bit hard to get it up high enoiugh to do that, but ive done it before and it works fine.

Does the car roll out alright? Does it drive strange/oddly? Does it ride one way or the other? Or is it all straight and groovy?

How is the transmission mount? Have you checked into that?

How about the front suspension? Was it ever replaced or tweaked or something to that effect, or the K-member, bushings, etc?

Let us know!

If you can get to a laser jig/frame jig and see whats up.

Would you happen to have installed subfraames on that on your own? If so you could have installed them incorrectly which causes the car to pull down/together more.

But then again your doors would close poorly as the windows, etc.

Everything lines up body panel wise right?

REgards,
Gered

My first thought was installing the motor mounts on the wrong side, but the more I think about that, if thats even possible, it would pull the engine more towards the front, not the rear.

In the first picture, your upper intake looks tilted way the hell backwards. Look at your tranny mounts, make sure you have that big rubber bushing between the tranny and the mount. My motor (when it was EFI) doesnt look angled that far back.

Looks like someone put on a 95 style T5 in there... the tranny would be back an extra inch or two like that... (94-95 bellhousing and inputshaft)... But then again, they'd have to do some kind of custom (jobber) work on the tranny crossmember to make that work. Check the bellhousing, if you can feel a vent on the top of it, then you have a SN95 housing on there...

Well I used a regular cross member when I replaced it with no problems so it couldnt be that I have a SN95 Tranny/bell right? I will give the tranny mounts a once over tonight or tomorrow.

if your tranny mounts where shot where your motor would tip then i would think your clutch would be chattering

Looks fine to me. You're going to have a hard time getting definitive answers without people being able to see your car in person, or being able to compare it to another car. What does the rear trans mount that the tail shaft of the trans sits on look like? As I recall, the holes in the mount that the tailshaft bolts to are slotted. Crawl down there and look and see if the trans is slid all the way back on that mount for starters.

if i remember correctly... you can install the tranny crossmember/exhaust bracket backwards and get that result(kind of).it will bolt in and set the trans at the wrong angle. i think your k-member is tweaked. just a thought

Don't think it's hardly possible to get the trans bolted to the crossmember if it's installed backwards.

Crossmember is definitely installed correctly...hmm. I am going to be looking more deeply into this next weekend when I have my front and rear suspension torn apart and swap K-members. I am crossing my fingers that swapping out K-members will cure my problem, it is really hard to tell if the K-member is slightly bent or not while it is still in the car. Wish me luck
