I like the look of your car a lot. I actually like those rims even though a lot of people bag on them. That is awesome that you did the work yourself :nice:

So, what was the problem with the Haynes manual? Did it have some incorrect stuff in there?

how's the ride different than stock? Does it bounce over bumps at all? Does the car seem to follow the contours of the road, or absorb bumps and dips smoother? Looks really good lowered, BTW.

After I got the allignment done It rides fine a little firmer than stock as far following the contours of the road it it seems to track fine the only thing i noticed is taking corners it seems to lean a little more than usual not much but slightly noticible once i throw in the d spec shocks i think that will improve that greatly.

So, to build on this thread, how low does a set of springs bring the car down. I know most give a 1-2" drop...but where does this put the car off the ground. For example...from the ground to the bottom of the side panel, measured right behind the front well and in front of the rear well. Mine has stock springs ( I assume) and sits about 8" off the ground from road to side panel. I see pics of others that are stock and they look like they're six feet in the air compared to mine. So anyone have any measurements of that?

These rims might be light, but they sure do look like plastic. Can't wait to ditch mine.

Yes all except the lines It really is a very simple car to work on Ford does an excellant job of keeping things easy to get to. I am not saying for anyone with a toolbox rip there whole front end apart i do have a mechanical backround working on helicopters in the army.

To the bottom of the side panel the drop is about 7" about a 1/4" higher towards the back. As far as the rims go i really like them but a wider rim is going on as soon as the whole suspension is done.
