Hello, my name is Scott. I just traded in my crap 2000 Toyota Celica GT today for a 2005 Gray Mustang GT Premium. I've never owned an American car before, mainly because of the bad reputation of quality, but when I drove my Mustang, I fell in love. The new body style is actually the first year since the fox body that I actually found appealing, and the interior is the first I've enjoyed since the beginning of the Mustang era. I've always loved Mustangs, though, and I've wanted one since I was too young to drive, lol.

So, I'm here. The dark side. Feels good to have 300HP and 320TQ at my side.

P.S. The GT I got came with this stupid American flag-type pony emblem on the front, and I was wondering...where can I get the stock one? This thing looks horrible, haha. Thanks!

You made a smart move. Put all the ricers in a group and park your car at the end. Parade all your friends by, and see where their interest lie.
True Detroit steel, muscle car. Women will want you, guys will envy you. You will be promoted in your job and flirted with by the pretty little receptionist.
Just watch yourself, we all have been there. With great power comes great responsability.

Welcome to the good team

You should be able to find an OEM pony emblem on EBay very easily.

Send me a personal message with the pic of the flag pony, and i would possibly be willing to make a trade with you. It is actually an ugly part of the completion to what i want to do to mine. I have an 05 GT with the stock emblem, we'll figure out how to make the swap.

It is absolutely uncomparable. 140hp FWD is a little different than 300hp RWD. Plus 200 extra ft.lb of torque adds a little fun, too.

Lots in common actually. For example, in 1967, Toyota joined forces with Carroll Shelby to campaign the Toyota 2000 GT in American racing to good effect.

In 1976, the Celica BECAME a Mustang temporarily:

You can't get a greater tribute than a pure copy of a classic design so Ford are 30 years late to this party.

Welcome man! I had a 350z for three years and dumped it for my new Stang. No regrets!

Okay, okay, I did own Mustangs before the Z though, heh.

I've actually always had a thing for that bodystyle

If I ever had to get a 'yota thats it right there.

Oh and Ford was never late because they never stopped making the mustang

Yeah, but they stopped making them with quality, fun, and a loving touch temporarily. This is just my opinion.

If I had to get another 'yota, it'd definitely be a Supra. Nothing else. Celicas all look fast. They just aren't. haha

I'm thinking of having my grill emblem painted Vista Blue and then have flames painted on to match my flames.

Reputation is just that, reputation. It's what I've heard, not what I fully believe. Keep your immature useless posts to yourself. Thanks.

Congrats on the Stang. Got mine this May and love it. Multiply the fun factor with boost, you'll never regret it. As far as Japanese vehicles, Yota rules. Bought a 76 Celica GT liftback Back in 1978, drove the piss out of it and it kept going and going. Sold me on Toyotas. I now have one with quite a bit more spunk.
