whell, i finally found a helmet that i could use at new england drag way, but sadly it turned out i dident need it :(

I made 3 runs late in the day (arrived around 2). My car had no time at all to cool off from the 3 hr drive, and it was hot!

anyway, im really pissed at my times.
My first was a 14.3,at 99mph and i missed 3rd hard
My next was a 14.4 same MPH and i missed 2nd
My last run, i was determined to get my shifting correct, and i did, it launched good, and nailed every gear, i had a smile on my face because i knew that this run had to be fast. I got my ticket and it said 14.4!!! i was PISSED i dont know whats up....the car i was aganst ran a 13.1 and he was barely ahead of me, maby 1 car length!? this time i was in the right lane, the otehr 2 were the left lane, i dunno but anyhow, i guess my car is slow, even though it did dyno 275/310 at the dyno 2 months ago.
as a side note, the last 2 runs, it started detetionating around the top of 4th, even though i ran top grade gas and octane booster.

but as a plus i got a benchmark to judge by when im done with my project, as i just got a 5k loan to fix up my car!

what are you 60 foots like? what tires are you on? do you spin a lot? get an mgw? i mean get an mgw..... now unless there's something wrong with your clutch cable so it wont go into gear (my old problem) shifting isnt a hard thing to do, maybe nerves? just practice everytime i go i take off time

we need your 60' times, I bet you 10-1 thats where your prob is. I was stuck in the mid 13's until I started to get 1.9XX 60' times and then I got into the 12's.

Rule #1.

Dont ever go to the track "expecting" to run a certin time b/c it will never happen especially your first time there. Takes alot of pratice to reach goals. Its good to set a goal and attain to reach that but never go in expecting it. I wanted to hit 12's for the test and tune yesterday but I was not expecting it. My first run was a 13.008 and I figured, hey if I dont get 12's thats fine b/c I already improved on my previous best time of a 13.1. Needless to say I was so damn close to a 12 that I was not going to give up there and I did get it 2 runs later :D

something sounds off, the 60ft isnt too bad (if on street tires preaty good even). When I took the ne combo to the track way back in what March or April for the first time I ran a 14.5 @98-ish mph and found I was running on 6cyl. (could unhook 6 &7 with no changes in running/idle, and plugs had no fuel stains on them). Have you noticed any power loss? Should be good for at least a mid-low 13's as yours sits. With unported gt40 heads the tfs1 cam and stock lower Tmoss intake I ran a 13.5 or 13.6 @102.

it was 275/310 tq. Torque peaked at 4,000, and hp was still climbing when he let off before 6g

I really dont know whats up, the car does feel strong, but this weekend was really hot....i dont know, also i could smell my clutch after each run. I have a king cobra. so i wonder if it was slipping?
