Please check sig. for mods.

I had my fuel prssure set at 38lbs. w/ vacum line off and 30lbs. with the vacum line on.

Problem.
When starting the car the rpm's would fluctuate badly and the car would stall. I pulled a plug and it was wet w/ fuel. The exhaust smelled heavy with fuel too.

I adjusted the fuel pressure to: 30lbs. w/ vacum line off and 26lbs. w/vacum line on.

I started the car a couple of times and let it run for a few minutes. It idled good and steady and did not stall.

Question.

With the fuel pressure at 30lbs. and 26lbs., am I in danger of running too lean? Can I burn a piston? What about using the nitrous?

Thanks for any input.

I'd even push more into the MAF not being right for the combo.

Was thinking the same thing, when the MAF is disconnected/bad it does the same thing, rpms go up and down really bad at the same rate and you smell lots and lots of gas.

Replace the TPS. It's causing an over fuel problem that will show up as wet plugs.

Until I'm able to address the MAF and the TPS, if the car will run and drive at the 30lbs. and 26lbs., and I don't use the nitrous, will that low of fuel pressure hurt anything?

as long as the spray pattern is alright and A/F is not bad, I would not sweat it.
