I've searched the forums and was wondering if anyone has had a problem like this.
I've been working on re-routing some wires around the started solenoid and the general area of the drivers side strut tower. I had also removed the battery. After reinstalling the battery, I tried to start the car and I noticed I didn't hear the fuel pump sound, and my fuel pressure gauge didn't move. So, I turned the key back and then forward again, and this time the pump came on and I proceeded to start the car and drove it around the block with no problem.
This has happened on a few occasions and each time I had to repeatedly turn the ignition from the on/off position and eventually the pump kicks on.
Tonight I went back into the garage to tinker with it and now the fuel pump doesn't come on at all (even after clicking the ignition back and forth as worked previously).
Does this sound like a relay?
Thanks.
