for the past few days when Ive gotten into my car theres been this gawd aweful smell, its not enough to make you puke but its not pleasent either. I have no idea where or what its comming from. It smells like a cross between spoiled milk and a dead rotten animal on the side of the road during a hot summer day.

I looked under the seats and theres nothing there, I looked under the hood and under the car and theres no dead things cought up on the sway bar or anything. I sprayed the interior w/ febreze and its not to bad now. Just wonder what was causing it

Just thouht Id share my stinky story w/ you.

woah me too, i think its caused by bacteria from the interior getting water in it, you prolly should rug shampoo the whole thing

Check your windshield or trunk for bad spots in the gaskets.... sounds like a leak to me too.

My truck did this, and it was a leak that in the windshield that was hard to find. When I pulled back the headliner, you could see the mold.

maybe it is mold but it hasent rained here for awhile unless it takes some time for mold to grow. If it is mold Im not doing anything about it now b/c all the interior is being pulled out and being replaced for next spring anyway.

Try picking up decent women and leave them hoes on the side of the road. Seriously tho have you checked the center console? Or maybe the glove compartment. Does you heater core have a very light leak and allowing coolant to sitting under the carpet allowing mold to grow?

I hate to admit it but thats what it kinda smells like. Ive smelled that smell before and its nothing nice. Does make since considering that its getting colder and there looking for a warm place to stay. I bet I came home from work one night and one came along and found a nice warm car, found his way in somewhere and then died there. Stupid little bastard mice

That's an unmistakeable BURNT smell. I've had it happen twice... although rumors tell me it doesn't even begin to compare to a strofoam plate.

accidently left the window down in my car once, and had an awfull smell.. sitting water in your carpet smells worse then you may think.

I jsut let it sit all day in the sun with the windows open.. even went through the trouble of soaking up the holding water on the rear floor( just behind the drivers seat... Then added an air freshner, some colongue and a few days later all is well.
Check your carpet for dampness, everyhere!
