Is it necessary to have a svo hood or any hood that will force air through the engine compartment. I have a basic tbird tc engine in a 89 lx. I have a old hood that someone cut a hole in it and it looks like crap so i put a sheetmetal scoop on it and it looks even worse. Will i get away with the stock hood? I was thinking of the ram air hood but it cost 369 + bucks and it ain't painted. Would a FMIC be cheaper to put together with a stock hood from a junk yard.
