I've been going after more of a retro look with the faux gas cap and ended up making my own.
Here is what I was after.

And here is what I made I started with the SHR basic brushed gas cap and added a 1968-69 "GT" wheel center emblem which was red, but I painted it black to blend in more with my car
I also removed the tail panel(what a PITA that was!)since I put it on slightly crooked the first time, which wasn't that noticeable although it bugged me. After the Mustang lettering went on it was much easier to notice. It was time well spent however as it looks much better now

Thanks
Just awaiting a phone call and possibly pursue another place to get my SHR flush mounts installed that have been sitting here on the floor since Thursday!!!!! Push comes to shove, I'll install them myself, but if I can get a pro to do it for what it would cost me in supplies, I wouldn't even bother with it I had a Safelite shop quote me $65 for labor, but when the guy saw that it wasn't glass, he didn't feel comfortable enough to try At least he was honest

SONOFABITCH! Hahaha... I was going to do the same thing. How did I know?

I'm planning on the silver outside, black inside. I'll be going with the smaller version of that emblem with red inset. But pretty much the same thing! Ha!

They are Scott Drake and you can get them from several places on the net. I got them from CJPonyparts. The "GT" emblem on the faux gas cap is a 1968-69 wheel center cap emblem(also from CJPonyparts)and was oringainly red inset, but I painted it black. I was looking at the '69 GT fender emblems too, but wanted the identical style as the original gas cap.

Thanks for the compliments

And to think, just a week ago, I was thinking it could be the same, but what are the chances...

That is Pop's '07 and it has been in the garage since November as it has ultra high performance summer tires on it...so does my Stang, but so far only a few snow storms totaling about 4"(shutting up now for all those Stangers with feet of it!).
