Well i won't bark out a bunch of opinions...cause you'll get plenty of those

What i will do is give you 3 video clips of the recent setups i've ran and maybe they'll help you decide.

Here's dumped Dynomax Race Bullets with a Dr. Gas X and full length MAC headers:
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/2cb5fc3f-e7f4-445e-9dda-98f80172f7ef.htm

Here's pretty much an entire MAC setup....full lengths, Pro Chamber and dumped Flowpaths. I ran this setup the longest out of them all and was very happy with it, but i will say i think the Pro Chamber is VERY over rated, and i loved both H and X a lot better.

Here's a silly burnout
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/2e685e28-cd53-4f80-841f-508a32c26c36.htm

Car wash exhaust clip
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/a632e564-3065-4d69-b8a8-d10c0a8c4d76.htm

Fly by at night
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/3619edd2-382b-4339-b697-8e6ee92bf789.htm

And another little burnout the same night
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/21e39b46-3c04-4d44-a17d-3018119abb72.htm

Lastly i have my current setup, which i honestly will probably never change unless i decide to ditch the full lengths for shorties in favor of more ground clearance. Basically it's the same headers and Dr. Gas X as the first clip with the Bullets, only with Flowmaster 2 chambers cut in half and rewelded, with tail pipes. The video doesn't do it justice....the car really needs to be driving and under load for the mufflers to really sing their song. There's a bit of mild language at the end of this one (i also blew a head gasket later this day)

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/8ed14fd9-61c2-4cbc-b07d-98fd001c9c1f.htm

That setup is actually quite tame at idle...which is a surprise. I think it has a lot to do with the tailpipes directing sound out back. Then, the more RPM and throttle you give the car, the more pissed off the mufflers get and it goes from a typical Flowmaster sound down low to a real raspy rippy sound up high. I'm not sure if buying their 1 chambers will sound the same though. The best thing about this setup is that you basically can control the loudness with your right foot. If Johnny Policeman is on your tail, just up shift and drop the RPMs and you'll sound as quiet as any stock exhaust Mustang. If Johnny Ricer is talking smack though, hit the clutch in and tach it up to 5k and he'll feel it through the seat of his car.

It sounds like you want a set of Pypes "Violator" mufflers. Best sounding muffler on the planet..

Following in second place would be "powersticks" from classicchamberedmuffler but they are a little on the loud side.

I am not knocking flowmaster at all. I have them on 2 of my 3 vehicles right now.

Yep. Macs with an o/r x is the best sounding combo imo.

just dont combine macs with an off road H...doesnt even sound like a mustang anymore...raps like a truck...

off road H with 3-chambers ranks right up there with the o/r x and macs though

oh and for what its worth, pypes mufflers just sound plain sloppy. i like my exhaust to have a nice tone to it, with a bit of throatiness...not just insane burbling and rapping

Here's a couple of my buddy's (bentley429) car. Hope he doesn't mind. These are from last year when It was h/c/i with a powerdyne. It has a fresh bottom end with an S-trim now and a different cam. It's amazing the difference a real blower makes
BBK Shorties, Mac o/r x, and Mac catback

Revs it higher in this one but lopes a little less cause it's cold I think.

I will say my sisters 94 has Macs with an off road H, and I like the sound alot. Reminds me of a friends 03 Gt with SLP loudmouth mufflers. gets raspy and deep through the RPMs.

The Pypes sounds good, but to me nothing special. Flowmasters I have always liked and always will.

The Prochamber will quiet the catback down more so than an X or H. An H will be deeper, whereas an X should be raspier.

I have an off road X for my Mac long tubes. Check into VRS, they make X pipes for both Mac and BBK LTs.

Unfortunately no, about a week after i got the X i switched to my custom 1 chambers. It did sound really badass though. Also IMO MACs sound 100x better WITH tailpipes...but that's just my taste. Lately i've been really burned out on the dumped sound...even though it's louder most of the time, i've grown to enjoy a loud setup that isn't deathly loud 100% of the time.
