I had an 88 GT, with the same wheels and tires, same color accent stripe, gray. Just like that freakin car. Turned it into this. Sold about 8 years ago. I did always like that stick look though. I painted the lower a little more of a dark gray.

I don’t have any pics of it like yours. That was my first stang. Bought in in 2000 when I was 20. Loved that car. Had it 10 years. Had to sell it to put a new roof on my house.

Doesn't work, a few website have trouble because of Google Photo long file names which use a string of alpha-numerics which could be seen as SPAM.
Uploading from the computer I'm using works. Your turbine wheels look brand new. I only used mine for a few years before storing away. Recently put tires on them to be used only as spares. Hard to find a 15" high performance tire in a lower profile so they don't rub the flares. These are 225-50x15, slightly lower than my 225-50x16's.

You bought the car in P. Ontario & drove it to P. Quebec? In the winter!!

Yup I drove it from Ontario to Quebec then home to New Brunswick........but not in the winter,i bought the car in September...weather kinda sucked for rain..but it was warm at least..

Nobody liked the turbine wheels (including me), since they are impossible to clean, especially the fronts with the brake dust.
I tried to sell them years ago, nobody wanted them. You'll find out.
Most verts were auto, not manual. What's yours?
Convertibles were a $3,500 option on a $12,000 GT

I've kinda been warming up to turbine wheels lately...especially if they are really clean and brake-dust free (rare).

The thing with rarity and demand is that the items that appreciate in demand/value are the ones nobody thought to preserve and just chucked out. It comes full circle when someone wants to restore a vehicle and wants an original set of wheels only to discover the ones left are mostly junk because they were deemed cheap throw-away parts.

Sucks you had to sell it.......if I had a dollar for every car or bike I sold that I now wish I hadn`t,,I`d be a rich man..let`s face it,,we all look back in life and say "crud" if I only had kept that car,,my issue was/is space..if I had a big old barn or warehouse I`d be knee deep in it..not sure if that would be a good thing or bad,because all these toys suck cash like an ex wife

Oh,and this is a U.S. car out of Ohio..spent most of it`s life with 1 owner there till it was sold and brought here a few years ago..

These wheels probably had about 8000 miles on them looking at the original 87 VR60 tires on them being 75 percent tread remaing..and the guy even oiled under the OE weights on them to prevent corrosion,,

He was obviously taking them off and saving them to up the value of the car way down the road when it may be collectable...his saving the old OE serpentine belt , air filter, shifter assembly , antenna and headers shows that..

Too bad he let the paint oxidize..could have been worth even more if he wanted it to be . I had it buffed and it looks decent,but could be better..but then again OE paint back then was no prize...

That's for sure about the paint. I had a silver metallic Chevy that didn't last 4 years on the top surfaces only. South Florida is the true test of any paint.
Mustang went through half a dozen car covers in 12 years, until I got a house with a garage. The OE paint oxidizes even when covered in the garage. I still have the original paint, wax it once a year until no paint is left.
The original orange side stripe was very strange. It was a decal all around except for the doors where it is part of the molding. Surprised the hell out of me when I tried to remove & it wouldn't come off the doors. Covered it all with a 3M black stripe.

There's a few things you need to check on a very low mileage GT that was hardly ever used. Notice that all are electrical.
1. Ignition switch recall.
Safety Recall 95S28 - Ignition Switch Replacement
Any Ford dealer can look up VIN to see if it was replaced under warranty.
2. GT headlamp overheat - After about 20 minutes with my headlights and fog lights on at the same time, the headlights blink intermittently."
Ford TSB 89-17-11 says this is caused by overheating in the headlamp circuit. It's a phenomenon affecting '83-'89 Escorts, '83-'87 EXPs and '87-'88 Mustangs. You'll need to replace the headlamp and dimmer switches, several connectors, and then bypass the wiring in the circuit with new 12ga wire run alongside the original harness.
This was not a recall. Contrary to other internet folks; '87-'88 used no relays for headlamps or foglights. Not sure about '89-'93.
3. 2G alternator (a.k.a., Ford Fire Starter); no recall.
Alternator output is by 3-prong connector prone to failure. Remove & inspect for symptoms of burning. Most replace this alternator with the 3G. 2G barely puts out the 75A & at max load it overheats the connector which melts & could catch fire.
